1. Who we are
Valheim Reforged (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website https://reforged.community and related services including our game servers, launcher/tools, and Discord community.

2. Scope
This policy explains how we process personal data when you visit our website, join our Discord, connect your Discord/Steam/Patreon accounts, register an account, make purchases/donations (where applicable), or otherwise use our services.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Data you provide
- Account details you submit (e.g., display name, email).
- Form submissions (e.g., contact requests, support, reports).
- Comments or posts (including any data shown in the comment form).
3.2 Data we collect automatically
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser type and version, operating system, referral URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, and basic diagnostics (server logs, error logs).
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies).
3.3 Data we receive from third parties
- Discord, Steam, and Patreon data when you explicitly connect those accounts (see Connected accounts).
- Payment processors about transaction status (no full card details stored by us).
- Anti-spam/abuse tools (e.g., IP reputation results).
4. Connected accounts (Discord, Steam, Patreon)
We support connecting external accounts to verify identity and manage access (“entitlements”). When you link an account, you authorize the relevant provider to share the listed information with us. You can disconnect at any time via that provider’s settings. Disconnecting may remove access to features that require verification.
4.1 Discord

4.4 Tokens & permissions
OAuth tokens are used to authenticate and fetch the data described above. We store tokens only as needed for login/verification and refresh them when required by the provider. Tokens are kept securely and are not shared outside our systems. Revoking access at the provider will invalidate tokens.
4.5 How to disconnect
- Discord: Disconnect our app in your Discord Authorized Apps and/or leave our server.
- Steam: Revoke access via Steam account settings for third-party authorizations.
- Patreon: Manage connected apps from your Patreon account settings or cancel your membership.
After disconnecting, you may ask us to delete linked identifiers (see Your rights).
5. Cookies & similar technologies
We use necessary cookies to operate the site (e.g., session, login). We may also use optional cookies for preferences or analytics where permitted.
5.1 WordPress cookies
- Comment convenience cookies storing your name/email/website (1 year, opt-in).
- Login/session cookies to keep you signed in (typically 2 days to 2 weeks depending on “Remember Me”).
- Editor cookies when you edit/publish content (1 day).
5.2 Third-party cookies
Embedded content (e.g., videos) and platforms (Discord/Patreon/Steam) may set their own cookies or trackers when you interact with them. Their policies apply.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some features may not work without required cookies.

We do not sell your personal data.
8. Data retention
- Account & entitlement data: kept while your account is active or needed to provide the service.
- Discord/Steam/Patreon linkage: kept while linked and as needed for entitlement history and dispute handling.
- Logs & security records: kept for a limited period appropriate for diagnostics/security.
- Legal/financial records: kept as required by law.
We periodically review and delete or anonymize data that is no longer required.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data (access controls, encryption in transit, least-privilege, monitoring). No system is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and keep your devices updated.
10. International transfers
Our services and providers may be located in different countries. Where required, we use approved safeguards for cross-border transfers (e.g., standard contractual clauses) and only share what is necessary.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, port your data, and withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We may apply simple automated checks (e.g., verifying Patreon membership or Steam playtime) to grant or revoke access. These checks affect entitlements only; they do not produce legal or similarly significant effects. You may contact us to request a review.
